Shanghai Government Scholarships 2023–2024 for Foreign Students

The Shanghai Government Scholarship for international students is presently accepting applications for the academic year 2023–2024. 

Undergraduate, master's, and doctorate degree programs in Shanghai are eligible for the scholarships.

The scholarship aims to draw talented and bright individuals from around the globe and to further foster international collaboration and exchanges in Shanghai's educational system.

There are two categories in the program: A and B. While the B-type scholarship is a partial scholarship that will only pay tuition and comprehensive medical insurance, the A-type scholarship is completely financed and will cover tuition, housing, living expenses, and health insurance during the scholarship time.

The following requirements must be satisfied by candidates in order to be eligible for this scholarship:

Candidate must be a non-Chinese nationall in good physical condition.

Age and educational background: Applicants for undergraduate programs should have at least a high school diploma and be no older than 25; 

Applicants for master's programs should have at least a bachelor's degree and be no older than 35; Applicants for PhD programs should have at least a master's degree and be no older than 40.

The applicant should hold a high school diploma and be under the age of 23. They should also have a letter of pre-admission to an undergraduate program from a Shanghai university.
